Sofia’s free communist tour, featuring a Trabant is now available every Saturday and Sunday starting at 10 am – ONLY with reservations made at least 24 h ahead. The meeting point is next to the National Palace of Culture and Starbucks on (Fridtjof Nansen Str.)
The tour is approximately 2 hours long and features an iconic classic car called a Trabant. The object of the tour is to take you back in time and make you feel what life was like for people living in Bulgaria during the communist era. Our focus is not to put you to sleep with statistics but rather show you what kind of challenges people had to deal with both during and after the communist era.
This is a tour for everyone that is curious about this period in history. This is why we have not put a price on it. We believe that everyone traveling to Bulgaria should have an opportunity to take something away with them.
